Irene Makarova is a contemporary artist whose work has been exhibited extensively in different countries. Born and raised in Moscow, she has been living and working in London since 2022. With a rich educational background, Makarova draws deep inspiration from the visual heritage of ancient and medieval art, blending these influences into her contemporary oil paintings and graphics.

Makarova's work has been featured in numerous prestigious exhibitions and art festivals. Recent highlights include 'Fallacious Memory' at Walcot Chapel in Bath, UK (2024), and 'ThreadED' at the Fringe Arts Bath Festival (2023). As a member of the TM-Studia art group until 2019, she co-curated several significant exhibitions alongside Konstantin Kaufman, bringing together diverse artistic expressions and cultures. Makarova's works are part of private collections across the globe, including in England, Scotland, Russia, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Finland, the Czech Republic and the USA.
